Did I miss something?
I don’t remember once hearing that Another World is coming to the PlayStation 4. Now I find it’s releasing sometime next week. Perhaps it was lost in all the E3 commotion – or I wasn’t paying enough attention. Either way, this is good news.
Having played Another World on the SNES when I was a kid, I was quite excited when I saw it referenced as an inspiration for PlayWay’s upcoming title, The Way.
Another World always struck me as somewhat of an obscure game – a platformer that’s deeply rooted in clever puzzles, fast decisions, and heavy consequences for your actions. To me, playing Another World always felt a lot like playing the older Prince of Persia games, but harder.
If you’re interested, Another World will be dropping on the PSN Store at some random time on June 25, 2014. There’s an interview with the developer on the PlayStation Blog (check the source link) if you’d like to learn more about what it took to bring a 20-year-old game to Sony’s most powerful game console.
