Devolver Digital is quickly becoming one of my favorite game publishers.
Most of their upcoming games are right up my alley, and the in-your-face trailer they ran at the PlayStation press conference is chock-full of gaming gold.
But before I start drooling too much, here’s the full Devolver Digital E3 2014 lineup:
- Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number (PS3, PS4, PS Vita – late 2014)
- Broforce (PS4, PS Vita – early 2015)
- Titan Souls (PS4, PS Vita – early 2015)
- Not A Hero (PS4, PS Vita – early 2015)
- Shadow Warrior (PS4 – late 2014)
- The Talos Principle (PS4 – fall 2014)
The original Hotline Miami was a pleasant surprise and one I would have overlooked if it hadn’t been part of the Instant Game Collection late last year. Its brutal gameplay, dark story, and awesome soundtrack really pulled me in. I can’t recommend it highly enough, and I’m stoked for the sequel.
Titan Souls sounds equally impressive, inspired by games like Shadow of the Colossus and Dark Souls. This is the first I’ve heard of Titan Souls, but the few seconds of gameplay Devolver Digital showed in their E3 trailer has my attention.
Then there’s Not A Hero, the latest from OlliOlli developer Roll7. I loved OlliOlli, and Not A Hero looks just like an 8-bit Tarantino flick. Very interested to see more from this one.
I highly suggest watching the fast-paced, high-octane trailer below. While you’re at it, you might also want to check out the Devolver Digital’s post on the PlayStation Blog, detailing all of the above titles.
