Today, GungHo Online Entertainment America announced on the PlayStation Blog that gamers can expect six more Japanese PSone Imports on the North American PSN.
- Sarara’s Little Shop (Danjyon Shoutengai: Densetsu no Ken Hajimemashita)
- Dragon Beat Legend of Pinball
- NEO PLANET
- Heroine Dream 1-2
- Tokyo 23-Ku Seifuku Wars
I’m intrigued by Sarara’s Little Shop – a game that puts you in the role of an RPG shop owner – although I’d never be able to fully enjoy it, what with my “not being able to read Japanese” and all.
Same thing with Tokyo 23-Ku Seifuku Wars, which looks amazing based on its premise alone:
In a post-apocalyptic vision of Tokyo, a ban on uniforms has been implemented. With school uniforms banned, naturally a large-scale civil war ensues. Our hero’s goal is to find her friend’s older brother who went missing during the war. Along the way, she is sucked into the conflict and forced to fight to uncover the truth!
I do love how digital distribution has made it easier than ever to experience certain import games. Unfortunately, the bulk of these titles seem to be pretty text-heavy, so unless you’re relatively fluent in Japanese, they’re probably not for you.
