Harmonix Lays Off 37 Full-Time Employees

0

Polygon confirmed with Harmonix Music Systems, the company behind Rock Band, Dance Central, and the recently funded Amplitude, that 37 full-time employees were let go earlier today.

In addition to the layoffs, Alex Rigopulos, Harmonix CEO and co-founder, will be stepping into a new position as “Chief Creative Officer,” with Steve Janiak serving as the company’s new CEO.

It’s always a shame to hear this kind of news, especially in the wake of a highly successful Kickstarter campaign. Best wishes to all of those affected by the layoffs.
