PlayWay’s The Way is Under Way

Yesterday, independent game developer PlayWay launched a Kickstarter campaign for a new sci-fi platform game called The Way. With a modest goal of $15,000 CAD, I wouldn’t be surprised if The Way hits it quickly – it looks fantastic.

Borrowing heavily from puzzle platforming classics like Heart of Darkness, Flashback, and Another World (a game I’ve always known as Out of This World, having played it on SNES in the days of yore), PlayWay seems to have a pretty good handle on things, featuring a slew of beautiful sprites, screenshots, and trailers on the campaign page.

I don’t see how this won’t get funded, and I really hope it does. While I tend to keep my distance from crowdfunding, The Way sounds like something I’d love to get my hands on.
