Resogun is still one of the best things going for the PS4, so when the dev team offers a free expansion to the core game (which was “free” with PS Plus not too long ago), it’s worth taking a look.
The patch will fix a number of issues discovered since Resogun‘s release last November. Players are also getting new leaderboard and friend functions, along with a super-cool Ship Editor and local co-op as part of the update, launching June 23rd.
Along with the patch, Housemarque is also releasing the Resogun Heroes paid DLC for $4.99 on June 24th. Resogun Heroes will introduce two new modes to the game, “Survival” and “Demolition.” Survival is exactly what it sounds like, while Demolition was described as “Arkanoid meets Resogun.” Coinciding with the DLC will be a Resogun Season Pass, modestly priced at just $7.99. If you loved the core game, this might be something to keep an eye on.
I love how Housemarque is supporting Resogun. Local co-op sounds amazing, and the Ship Editor is a really nice touch.
