Earlier today, XSEED Games confirmed that Story of Seasons will be coming to North America this winter, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
Story of Seasons was released in Japan earlier this year as Bokujo Monogatari: Tsunagaru Shintenchi (“Farm Story: Connect to a New World”), but to North American gamers, the series is better known as Harvest Moon.
As expected, there will be fully customizable characters, tending to crops and animals, and loads of other harvesty-warvesty tasks to perform.
Story of Seasons will include multiplayer features as well, allowing you to visit other players’ farms and swap gifts. You’ll also be able to score some sweet Super Mario Bros. memorabilia, like Fire Flowers and Super Stars, to deck out your in-game property.
I’m actually a pretty big fan of the Harvest Moon franchise, and have spent far more hours of my life perfecting my virtual farm as opposed to doing anything close to actual cultivation. I think I made the right call.
Developed by MarvelousAQL, XSEED Games will be showing us more of Story of Seasons at E3 2014.
